Randall,

I have just returned from a 2 week trip to Europe. The general sense is one of very significant dissonance - on one hand, every single person I spoke to complains of inflation, cost of everything, lack of housing, difficulties in day to day life; and this is even very well-to-do directors at investment firms and such. On the other hand, the notion of 'conservation' - of environment, of "climate", is so heavily and deeply ingrained that the former difficulties don't even register in a cost/benefit analysis of the latter.

The ideology is extremely strong, and since Europe is still a fairly wealthy place all said, and since energy poverty drowns the population from the bottom up, it will take quite some time before this becomes obvious to even the most ardent ideologue

You know, the USSR willfully destroyed their economy for years and it still took the better part of a quarter century before the whole thing went to pieces. The basic tenet that "Energy is life" and low cost, reliable and abundant energy is a prelude to a wealthy & healthy society is totally lost on current leadership, OR, they are so totally deluded to believe that at the end of the Transition road is a pot of gold where their energy dreams come true. We live in a strange time

Great article. Looking forward to 25 more years of intelligent analyses like this one - while being forced to endlessly endure the diktats of Very Important Idiot Ideologues (elected and non-elected).

Francis Boyle is not a bioweapons expert, except relative to the law. My chapter is modern, and published through the West Point Counterterrorism center. My doctorate is in the field. My work stands up and happens to agree with other experts in virology.

They are wrong, and don't have a shred of scientific evidence that matters.

There is no evidence for the SARS-CoV-2 virus being engineered. I say that as a scientist who downloaded all the sequences and looked for relationships. The closest one is a sample from a bat in Laos.

Flatly, the complexity of this virus is such that science does not have the knowledge to engineer it. There are now 5 genes known that regulate the immune system, and 4 more that probably do. An engineered virus would have different earmarks. I say this as a scientist who worked on biodefense [1]. If I thought it was engineered, I would tell you.

No, there is zero doubt SARS-CoV-2 is an engineered bioweapon. The only question is who exactly manufactured it.

None of your papers state Covid is a result of climate change. They all are about Climate Change, which is a very slow process, may increase transmission of various diseases. They have nothing to do with Covid being bioengineered or not.

Quote: "...There is no evidence for the SARS-CoV-2 virus being engineered. I say that as a scientist who downloaded all the sequences and looked for relationships..."

That is worth less than the piece of paper I wiped my butt with this morning. I just quoted Dr. Chris Martenson, who unlike you, has thoroughly studied the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Watch and learn, start at 14m, for example:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gc9YHBXad5o

He states that the only existence in the entire viral genetic database of the critical gene sequence coding for the Furin Cleavage site on SARS-CoV-2 is found on a Moderna patent from 2016.

Francis Boyle is a lawyer and he is wrong. Sonia Pekova is wrong. Bret Weinstein is wrong, and I would happily debate him on the evidence which is voluminous.

There were no bioweapons labs in Ukraine, that was a Russian army announcement, probably propaganda, but they may have believed it. Ukraine had testing labs supported by the US. The area is endemic for anthrax among other things. It made sense to set up testing labs. In a lab shutdown the samples should be destroyed. That is what you do with select agents. https://www.selectagents.gov/sat/list.htm

Paul Cottrell has a PhD in finance.

What matters for all of them is that their arguments don't hold water--at all. The idea of an engineered virus is laughable after the evidence is examined.

You saying they are wrong is worth less than a piece of used buttwipe. And your offer to debate is pretentious nonsense since you know very well they wouldn't waste time debating some know-nothing like yourself.

Francis Boyle is a bioweapons expert. You aren't. Not even remotely close to one.

Paul Cottrell has an MS in Microbiology from Harvard and is finishing his MD education in New York, a lot more qualified than you. Especially since he used statistical methods to prove the virus must have been engineered.

And you know zip about biowarfare or the labs in Ukraine which Victoria Nuland already admitted contained bioweapons. The Pentagon/CIA have biolabs in 25 countries around the World, developing biowarfare agents. Read & learn:

Anything that comes out of Lomborg immediately raises my suspicions. This area of winter deaths is an area of long-standing questions. I entered that fray a bit over a decade ago looking at worldwide conditions for influenza transmission. That found vast improvement for transmission in tropical nations previously resistant to influenza due to air conditioning. COVID is also an enveloped virus and should act similarly because of envelope physics. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20470403/

Cardiovascular disease deaths peak in winter for multiple reasons. And examination of non-western nations is worthwhile, as in China. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6121352/ Compares fairly well with the western nations. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/12546188/

The cycle of winter deaths is influenced by bird migration (birds are the major reservoir) and cultural patterns. In fall and winter populations mix like a stirred drink, and transmit disease. Vitamin D status plays a role. Colder weather means less air circulation, and creation of optimal interior environments for disease including mold spores that don't kill but compromise in homes without central heating, or some other method of even heat distribution in insulated homes.

A confounding factor is reliance on coding of death. Many deaths have multiple causes. Cardiovascular death can be triggered by respiratory illness, even mild respiratory compromise. I have seen this directly. But one cause of death is chosen as proximate cause.

India also has seasonal deathhttps://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6057641/

But it should be noted that India's population is also adapted to their extremely hot summer weather. I think it is questionable if Europeans would survive hot weather as well.

This COVID pandemic is a climate and population caused disease. There is good consensus on this. We are seeing more crossover from wild animal populations brought into contact by people expanding into new areas, and climate zones moving, forcing animals to resettle in new territory.

Relative to heat, the idea that heat related deaths will always remain lower, is unwise I think. Heat waves can be quite far in excess of normal temperatures in northern latitudes. A serious concern is crop failures. The northwest heatwave of 2021 brought Death Valley summer temperatures. Massive boreal fires are in the geological record in deep time.

In cold weather, we can use primitive methods to stay warm. Russian families literally burned furniture during the breakup years after the economy collapsed. This lesson is fresh in the Russian mind.

However, primitive methods to cool off are more limited. We can remove clothing, change clothing types to loose robes, and keep ourselves or our buildings wet for evaporative cooling. But culture is more resistant to change than stone, and heat tends to cause drought forcing water conservation.

Consequently, energy is needed more urgently in extreme heat. California's grid didn't break in winter, but in summer. And changes in architecture to high heat tolerant types (thick stone for thermal mass, underground) requires expenditure of energy.

Lomborg has been a very reliable source of information in spite of ridiculous and contrived accusations against him.

This Covid PLANDEMIC has NOTHING to do with climate or population. That is a ridiculous claim. Dr. Chris Martenson sums up succinctly how there is zero doubt this was an engineered virus:

Unredacted Emails Finally Reveal the Shocking Truth:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gc9YHBXad5o

California's grid broke in summer because they get peak demand in summer and have mild winters. In northern regions peak demand is in winter. Worsened by areas that are on mostly NG generation & NG building heat, consumption peaks in both during the winter. With NG expensive and difficult to store. Winter storms are also harder on the power grid than summer storms, in general. In summer homeowners can do fairly well without power. They can sleep outdoors, or with the windows open and BBQ outdoors. Winter is extremely difficult without power, which likely also means no heat.
